Varicent is seeking a motivated Application Support / SQL professional for a 12-month maternity-leave contract. In this remote role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the seamless operation and optimal performance of our Sales Performance Management (SPM) solutions. You will leverage your SQL expertise to troubleshoot issues, support application functionality, and contribute to the overall success of our clients. This contract position focuses on providing essential application support with a strong emphasis on SQL database management and troubleshooting. You will be a key point of contact for technical inquiries and will work collaboratively with internal teams to resolve complex issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert-level support for Varicent’s SaaS applications.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues, particularly those involving SQL databases.
- Perform SQL query development, optimization, and data analysis to support troubleshooting and reporting.
- Collaborate with development and product teams to identify root causes and implement solutions.
- Document technical solutions and best practices.
Requirements
- Proven experience in application support roles.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, including query writing, performance tuning, and database administration concepts.
- Familiarity with SaaS environments and cloud technologies is a plus.
